Metaphysics seeks to answer fundamental questions about existence, being, and purpose, shaping our worldview, faith, and civilization. It connects us with our Creator, others, and our environment, balancing reason and revelation, matter and spirit. However, modern philosophy and various ideologies have marginalized it. This series explores metaphysics' history, its impact on Muslim civilization, and its potential revival, drawing from a remarkable article by Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, one of the leading proponents of classical learning in Islam and president of Zaytuna College, a Muslim liberal arts college in Berkeley, California. The article is titled “Is the Matter of Metaphysics Immaterial? Yes and No” and it was published in Renovatio, the journal of Zaytuna College.
